Patriots VS Texans

Cant wait to see Tom Brady and the Patriots in action again against the Texans. I trust with their momentum, Brady and the Pats will do very well. And they need to because they really need the momentum going into the playoffs.

Go Patriots and Tom Brady.

Awesome Big 10 Footbal

So happy about Wisconsin's performance against the Miami Hurricanes. That was so so awesome. I had no idea what was going to happen that game. But It's a great start for the Big 10 Football conference.

But the tests are only going to get more difficult tomorrow with Ohio State and Penn State both playing tough teams.

Joe Paterno and Penn State plays LSU who is relentless. But I'm not fond of them and especially since they are playing the Lions.

Go Penn State!! And I'm of course rooting for Ohio State also and I thing they play Oregon who had a great season. Now as far as I'm concerned, this game all depends on which Ohio State team shows up. They can beat Oregon pretty bad if they bring their A game. But if they don't, the could get a good old fashion whipping.

Wisconsin VS Miami

I cant wait until the game tonight between Wisconsin and Miami. I'm a HUGE Big 10 fan and I hope they win them all this year which is sort of unlikely but I can't wait until tonight.

My heart belongs to Penn State, but I'm rooting for all of the Big 10 Teams. They all have class, they play classy. No they are not perfect, but they don't take many stupid penalties and they play hard football.

So I'm really excited about the opportunity for Wisconsin to beat up on Miami tonight because this is the first Big 10 bowl game and no one thinks they will win.

Go Big 10. Is anyone else behind me?

Bears Beat Vikings in OT

The Vikings Continue to lose momentum for the playoffs as they lose to the Bears in OT last night.

At this rate I really don't think they will go to far into the playoffs unless things really turn around. But time will tell.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are one team with momentum at this time. I just hope they don't mess around with the Texans but they beat them with authority. And if they lose by some chance - that will be really bad.

The Texans are a team that has some very dangerous players and the Patriots will have to play well to beat them.

I think Tom Brady and the Patriots are up for the challenge.

Messed up NFL!!

The NFL is all messed up right now. The teams who are supposed to have all the momentum going into the playoffs like the Saints, Colts and Vikings are sort of limping. Especially after the hideous Colts situation on Sunday for them to bench many of their starters to save them.

It's a crazy situation - the NFL mess. I was not sure my favorite team the New England Patriots and Tom Brady had much of a chance. But I'm glad I'm wrong. The reason I'm wrong is that they have some momentum right now. Of course they have to keep that momentum going next week against a very tough Texans team. But if they do then they can do some damage in the playoffs.

I also love the Eagles and Andy Reid, but they always seem to choke for some reason. And they almost blew their game against the Broncos...................that's bad!!

You have the three power house teams that we think of - (Vikings, Saints, and Colts), but the way other teams are coming on I'm not sure any of those teams will win the Superbowl.

I mean it's crazy - the playoff teams with the most momentum at this time are the Chargers who won about 10 games strait now, Arizona who is playing well, and Dallas. Green Bay is also playing good football, but I'm not sure they have what it takes yet to win the Superbowl.

Now the Cowboys play the Eagles next week so that could end Dallas' momentum, but that all depends which Eagles team shows up. Of course me being from outside Philly you know who I will be rooting for.

Another awesome match up will be Arizona at Green Bay next week. So one teams momentum will come to a screeching halt.

Then the Chargers play the Redskins so I don't think there will be any momentum slowing for the Chargers.

As far as the Big 3 I mentioned earlier there could be trouble for them also. The Viking play the Bears tonight at Soldier Field - could be interesting. But next week the Vikings play the Giants. And depending which Giants team shows up it could be very ugly for the Vikings.

The Saints play Carolina and once again which Carolina team will show up? Of course they lost their star receiver Sunday (Steve Smith) with a broken arm. (lucky for the Saints).

Another team I love is Cincinnati, I love Carson Palmer. But I don't thing they have the full package - especially defense to go all the way.

This is incredible really - because you can't count the Steelers out either if they make it to the playoffs.

But because of how hot they are I still have to go with the Chargers to win the Superbowl and I like them, their coach and Phillip Rivers. But my favorite team is the New England Patriots but I also like the Bengals, Arizona - love Kurt Warner, love the Eagles, I like the Saints. I sort of like the Viking also. I do like Brett Favre, I just hope he don't choke.

So there we have it...................my evaluation of the NFL mess.

Can't wait to see how it plays out!!

Chargers Charging into Playoffs

The Sandiego Chargers beat the Titans bad on Christmas.

The Chargers are one team who is charging into the playoffs while other teams are limping in like the Vikings and Colts. Even thought the Colts are undefeated, they still are not pounding their teams into the ground.

Tom Brady and my New England Patriots are not exactly setting the world on fire either. In the playoffs they will be, but they are not Charging in like some other teams.

But there are still two games left for most teams. So some of the playoff teams can still go in with incredible momentum. I'm excited and look forward to what lies ahead in the next couple of week.

And I will also discuss some of the big bowl games. Like Penn State and LSU and the Ohio State Game. Of course I'm a big 10 fan. Then there is the national championship game between Alabama and Texas. I don't think it will be close. I'm going on record. I think Alabama will beat Texas up pretty bad.

New England Patriots play the Jaguars

The New England Patriots will pay their last home game of the season this year when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

If they win Sunday they will clinch the AFC East divisional title.

Nothing is coming easy for the Patriots this year including last weeks win against Buffalo by less than 10 points.

You can sort of sense the frustration on Tom Brady sometimes. I just hope they can win these last two games with lots of momentum going into the playoffs. They need to stay healthy, especially Brady and Welker and they need to get Randy Moss fired up.

And once they get into the playoffs anything can happen really. But first they have to take care of the Jaguars and then the Texans.

Looking forward to the next couple of weeks of some great football.

NFL Excitement

The Giants scared me all year even though they were not doing very well. And Monday night is the reason why.

Even though the Redskins are not a very good team. The Giants rush defense can't be stopped when they get mad.

What's going on with Vikings? Is Favre going to choke again? Like he has in recent post seasons?

Are the Saints all that we thought they were? I'm not so sure at this time.

Are the Eagles ready to take it the distance finally? Or will Mccnab mess things up when it really matters?

And what about the Colts? Who knows.

My pick right now for the Superbowl winner is the Chargers. They are hot right now.

But well soon see right?

And I love the Bengals, but it don't seem like they have what it takes.

Se hawks over Tampa Bay
Chicago over Baltimore

The Cowboy/Saints game shocked me!!

Billys Pick for tonights Saints/Cowboys game.

I think the Saints will win this game tonight. I do think it will be close, but the Saints will come out on top. 34-27.

Cant wait to see it!!

Time to Talk NFL Playoffs!

Well it's time to discuss NFL playoffs. There are some really exciting thing going on right now.

The Saints should run the table now and go undefeated. The Colts will also go undefeated IF they beat the Jaguars tomorrow night and if they don't sit all their starters out.

But what else is happening? Here are some teams that could win the Superbowl if they don't choke and lay an egg. The Vikings can absolutely win it all because they are awesome!!! Whether or not they win it all depends on one thing alone - Brett Favre. The Eagles have a shot at going deep into the playoffs. The Chargers could win it all if they don't lay an egg. The Saints could also win the entire thing.

Ad for my Patriots? well I don't think they are Superbowl bound this year. But who knows what will happen once they get into the playoffs with the experience they have. I also love the Eagles, Saints, Chargers, and Vikings. I don't think the Colts will win the Superbowl - they will choke.

It's really any ones victory for the taking I think. Even the Cardinals can't be counted out of going deep into the playoffs.

So I'm very excited about what's going and can't wait until the playoffs begin. I think Brett Favre will blow it eventually. But watch out for the Saints, Chargers, and Eagles.

Week 14 in the NFL - Exciting!

This is an exciting week in the NFL. I'm really excited about it.

The Patriots SHOULD beat the Panthers. The Saints and Colts will have tough games from here on out just because every team will be attempting to prevent an undefeated season. But for today the Colts could have it tough because the Broncos should be ready.

Some very exciting games today should be the Bengals vs Vikings, Chargers vs Cowboys, and the Giants vs Eagles. These all should be great games. But the most exciting game of the 3 will be the Chargers/Cowboys game.

So who will win today? Here are my picks for a few games.

1. Saints (the Falcons don't stand a chance)
2. Broncos (my surprise pick)
3. Chargers (this will tell what Dallas is made of)
4. Giants (I love the Eagles and Andy Reid, but because of their quarterback they always find a way to either lose or not win and I hope I eat my words)
5. Bengals and Vikings - should be more exciting than people think anyone smell an upset????????

Tom Brady - Not Practicing: Finger, Rib Injury and Shoulder Injury

Tom Brady has not practiced for two days straight now because of finger, rib and shoulder injuries according to reports.

This certainly is bad news for the New England Patriots when they battle the Panthers on Sunday. After New England came off of two tough losses in the last 3 weeks this has to be discouraging for everyone.

I think Tom Brady will play, but if he does, his timing could be off and performance could lack. The rest of the team is aware of this and this situation could be very draining emotionally for them.

Yes they are professionals. But this can't be easy on anyone.

If Tom Brady does play, the New England Patriots team could get emotionally charged enough to put together a nice win behind him even if, and especially if they realize he is not 100%.

But there is still Friday and Saturday to see what will happen with the Patriots leader Tom Brady.

So only time will tell.

Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen did have a baby boy on Tuesday. So he probably missed some practice on Tuesday also, but rightfully so - he should be with his wife and new son during that time.

Brady, Patriots Battle the Carolina Panthers

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Battle the Carolina Panthers in New England this week.

Unfortunately nothing is certain at this time as interesting as curious as that might sound. No player on the Patriots Team has been great except for maybe
Welker.

But the Patriots are just not that good this season. Tom Brady has missed some big passes and some big reads. The defense has not come up big when they had to most. Special teams have not been very special. The play calling at times has been atrocious. Tom Brady has not had very good protection and they can't always run the ball.

Not a good recipe indeed.

I do think they will beat the Panthers this week and hopefully beat them bad enough they will have something to build on to start gaining momentum - something the Patriots desperately need right now.

No matter how well the Panthers play, even if they bring their A game (and they are capable of playing really good football) the Patriots have to beat them. If they don't, they can hang this season up. Not literally, but morally and emotionally.

I was hoping that after one or two of their losses that they would get mad and run the table this year. I it obvious I hoped for it too too long and it just won't happen - at least not this year.

But time will tell. As it stands the Pats are playoff bound, so that in itself is good news.

My Worries Confirmed today As Brady, Patriots lose to Dolphins

I predicted this in my last post, but certainly did not want it to become a reality - Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Lose to the Miami Dolphins 21-22.

What a blow!! But like I said in my last post, the loss against the Saints I think bothered them and then I think this really started when the Patriots lost to the Colts so late in the game. Usually Tom Brady and the Patriots are the team that finds a way to win in the last two minutes of the game.

So the last couple of weeks have been really tough mentally and emotionally on the Pats.

I hope they can recover. But I'm not sure they will - at least no this year.

Chad Henne played more than an efficient game against a Bilichik defense.

The Patriots play the Panthers in New England next week and you never know what you will get from the Panthers. But if the Panthers play a great game, especially defensively and the Patriots play poor then it could be another loss.

After the Panthers, Brady and the Patriots finish out the season against the Bills, Jaguars and Texans.

Who Will Joe Paterno And The Penn State Lions Face in A Bowl Game?

I can't wait to see who the Lions of Penn state and Joe Paterno will face in a bowl game.

No matter who it is Joe Paterno will have them ready now. So I'm very excited to see who it will be no matter what.

Of course it won't be for a national title. It seems they can't go undefeated lately. Although Ohio State was the better team I think. I believe they should have beaten Iowa for sure.

That's my humble opinion.

And I can't wait to see the Florida and Alabama game today. Wow!! It should be awesome.
I never liked Alabama much, but they are a good football team. And Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators will have their hands plenty full today.

I really think this one is a toss up - it could go either way. But I root for Florida because I love Tim Tebow's character.

And of course Penn State will not be playing for a national title.

Tom Brady - New England Patriots to Face Another Tough Game

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will face another very tough game when they take the field on Sunday afternoon.

The Miami Dolphins are playing really tough football right now and I'm not sure the Patriots will win this game at Miami.

The Saints played good, but is that how good the Saints were or are the Patriots not as good as we thought?

As tough as the Dolphins are playing I might go out on a limb and say they will beat Tom Brady and the Patriots.

The Patriots had a short week because of playing on Monday night, they are in Miami, and the Dolphins are playing really really tough right now.

And it's very interesting two Michigan State quarterbacks will be facing off against one another in Chad Henne vs Tom Brady.

I really don't know if the Patriots can pull it out after such a tough loss to the Saints last week. I'm hoping they will, but they will have to play one awesome divisional game on Sunday.

There will be 3 keys to this game 1. Protect Tom Brady 2. No fumbles and 3. The New England Defense must dominate or we can forget it.

Gentleman, leave everything on the field..................your going to have to.

Thank you for voting on my blog about the Patriots and Saints game!!! Yes............I was wrong indeed.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots Break Down

The Patriots broke my heart Monday night.

My prediction was clearly wrong. The Patriots and Tom Brady were not ready to play. And the Saints were more than ready. They played awesome.

Drew Breeze was extremely accurate we are aware, but I can't believe how fast he got rid of the ball. That was amazing.

The Patriots defense (what I worry about) did not play well. There seems to be no play makers on their defense like there was a short few years ago like Tedi Bruschi, there awesome corner back who retired and also the lineman they traded to the Raiders.

They don't have a play maker who can turn the game around on defense yet. Or the person has not come forth yet.

But it was sad to see the Patriots getting beat so badly.

Who Will Win The Patriots/Saints Game?

Who will with the Patriots/Saints game on Monday night?

Check out my blog for a second and vote in the upper left hand corner. Thank You!

I already made my pick, but it's a tough call because the Saints will be ready.

The Patriots should win once again - the Saints are only rated 15 in passing offense and around 17 in total defense. So Tom Brady and the New England Patriots should have no problems scoring against the Saints.

But the Saints are number one in the NFL over all in total offense. So they will also score.

Either way, it should be an awesome game. I'm excited for both teams. One thing the analysts said was that Tom Brady is very used to big games like this and nothing could be further form the truth. He had so many big games against the Colts and of course Super Bowls.

My Anticipation is Building To See The Saints/Patriots Game

I can't wait to see Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Play the Saints on Monday night. I'm getting really excited.

I wrote in an earlier post that it was too soon to pick a winner but for me that has changed.

I think the Patriots will win 31 - 28. Drew Breeze is hot and the Saints will score points, but the New England Patriots will score more. I think there will be an upset during this game.

There are several keys to the game. First and foremost is the play of Tom Brady and the play calling which are equally important. I think the Saints will be tough to run against so the play calling has to keep the Saints defense way off balance with different types of pass plays like the shovel pass, screens, and quick out passes. And of course Tom Brady has to play his "A" game for all of this to succeed.

Second, in a big game like this I have to bring up special teams once again. The Patriots have to dominate special teams in this game and allow no big plays from the Saints.

Finally, the defense has to play smart. First try not to break, we know they will bend because they are playing one of the hottest offenses in the league right now. So we know the Saints are going to score, but the Pats defense needs to be tough especially in the red zone. Second, the defense really has to be careful of both stupid penalties and long pass interference penalties because it's at New Orleans.

But I'm really excited because I think these things will come together and the New England Patriots will upset the Saints Monday night. I think that Tom Brady will have one of his best games of the season. I am concerned about the play calling - it really has to be changed up this week.

And I love Drew Breeze, he is a classy guy and an awesome quarterback but I like the patriots a little more. So Go New England!!!

Happy Turkey Day!!!!!!!! And Footbal Too!!!!

Well It does not look like the Lions can hold up their winning Thanksgiving tradition.

The Raiders will be ready for the Cowboys. But in Dallas the Cowboys will probably win much to my chagrin because I really like the Eagles (not as much as the Patriots of course). But I think if Andy Reid had Tom Brady instead of the quarter back he has they would have won 3 Super Bowls in the last 10 years.

Andy Reid is so under rated.

And of course for the same reason I will be rooting against the Giants tonight. But this one should be the best and most entertaining game of the day.

Enjoy them all today and be thankful.................

New England Takes Care Of Jets: Now face Biggest Test

The Patriots played well today as I thought they would.

The defense is still a huge concern for down the road, and down the road happens to be next Monday night.

The New England Patriots and Tom Brady will play the Saints who are not only undefeated, but deservedly so.

This will be the ultimate test so far for the entire team, but especially their defense. I hate to say this, but it will be interesting to see if the Pats can hold them to under 30 points.

Time will tell right?

It should be one exciting game. I give no quick predictions on this one.

Sunday, November 22, 2009

New England Plays a Good Jets Team Today

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots play a good jets team today and should win.

If the Patriots and Brady play as well as they did last week against the Colts. They are sure to win the football game today.

That is unless
Bill Belichick has another short circuit in his brain like last week...............just kidding. Many people would look at like that, but I don't thing it was a bad decision myself. The running back who was it Faulk? needs to go down field one or two yard further.

So if they play as good as they did last week. The Patriots really should win the game. The Jets are good, but they are struggling right now with some things.

The keys today's game are 1. turnovers 2. special teams and 3. Randy Moss coming off a spectacular game against the Colts.

My pick - the Patriots win 38-17 if they don't turn the ball over.

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Penn State Handles Michigan State Easily

Joe Paterno and The Penn State Lions easily beat the Michigan State Spartans as they should have.

It was a solid game for them and a good end to the regular season.

I'm not sure who they will play yet in a bowl game, but rest assured that Joe Paterno will have them ready and that is comforting.

But I hope every Big 10 team wins their game this year. It would all make Penn State look stronger.

Penn State Vs Michigan State

Joe Paterno and The Penn State Lions will face Michigan State today to end the season.

Penn State should beat Michigan State rather easily. But they better be ready and not turn the ball over. Because Michigan State has surprised good Penn State teams and Joe Paterno in prior years.

Michigan State has a swarming defense that is quick to the ball. And if you give them momentum, it usually swings BIG.

So play sound, smart and hard football Lions and you will win today to close out the regular schedule.

You wont be Big 10 champs, you won't play for the national championship, but you could play in a descent bowl game.

Bowl games are really all that Penn State and the Big 10 have left this season. And for the Big 10, they better perform will in all of them. They need to fair a lot better than they have in the last year or two.

But this could be the year that they really do.

Go Penn State!!! Go Big 10!!!!!!!

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots Lose In Odd Fashion

The Colts were out played and out smarted....................that is until just over two minutes in the game when the Patriots decided to go for it on 4th and 2 on their own 30 yard line.

It was a great play, and a good call in that situation........................if they would have made it. But they did not make it and Peyton Manning had the Colts in the end zone in about 3 plays.

A stunning loss indeed. Speechless I am. The Patriots played a great game I thought. One in my prior post I predicted they would win - and should have.

The team was clicking well. And for that reason I really don't think Bill Bellech's call was really terrible. But it just looks that way because it did not work.

I don't think the Patriots are Superbowl contenders because of their defense, and special teams. But deep into the playoffs they still could go.

High hopes I still have for the Patriots, but must almost win out the rest of the season and go into the play offs with tons of momentum. This one point loss was heartbreaking, but it's now time to move on.

Sunday, November 15, 2009

New England Partiots Winning 10-7 during 2nd quarter in tough game against the Colts.

Go Pats.

Friday, November 13, 2009

My Prediction About The New England Patriots Could Be Wrong

Will the Patriots Really Win?

I'm starting to doubt my prediction. This will be a really tough game for them.

The Colts defense is really banged up, but they still are one of the toughest and best in the league.

The New England Patriots defense is going to have to play super well or the Patriots will lose.

Thursday, November 12, 2009

Penn State Loses Huge Game to Ohio State

Joe Paterno and the Penn State Lions lose a really tough game to Ohio State on Sat.

I went over the keys to Penn State winning the game and they were almost all up to par, but Ohio State was just the tougher and better team on Sat.

Penn State did not make many mistakes, they did not have many penalties and Daryll Clark did manage the game pretty well.

I think he could have made a few more plays, but the play calling was not diverse enough and the special teams play did not make up for anything. Penn State played tough, but were just outmatched.

And it's a shame because this was the big one. Especially with Iowa losing. It seems they just can't win when they need to most lately.

Penn State should run the table, but it is almost meaningless except for where they could stand with a bowl game.

New England Wins Against Good Dolphins Team

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots beat a much improved Dolphin Team.

The Miami Dolphins played the Patriots tough but it was a great divisional win for the Patriots who will play their toughest game of the season on Monday night when they battle the Colt and Payton Manning.

The Colts are undefeated so far this year but the Patriots are not intimidated. I correctly predicted a Patriots loss to the Broncos hoping I would be wrong so bad. Now I'm predicting a win by the New England 28 - 27 and praying I am right.

The key to the game will be their defense. New England's Defense must step up to the challenge and stop or "slow down" the Colts Offense if they want a chance to win.

Good luck Guys.

Saturday, November 7, 2009

Huge game for the Patriots

This is a huge game for the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. This divisional game they could actually lose if they are looking ahead to the Colts.

The Miami Dolphins are playing good football on both sides at this time. So they could be tough to beat if the Patriots don't play well.

The Pats defense has to be very solid in order for them to win. I think the Patriots defense will be the key to the game. And of course, protecting Tom Brady.

The games big either way!!

Todays is the BIg One For Penn State

Joe Paterno and the Penn State Lions Will Face Their most difficult opponent thus far.

This is a huge game for the Lions. Ohio State is a good team with a lot of confidence. They either seem to have a great performance or do very poorly. But realizing who they are up against I expect them to play very well today against Penn State.

Once again there are several keys to the game. And one of them is Daryll Clark he has to manage the game with precision and he cannot turn the ball over. If he does they will lose.

Along with Daryll Clark playing well, their offensive line has to give him a little time as Ohio State is a good pass rush team. And the offensive play calling must be diverse.

No dumb penalties. There defense must play sound and make one or two big plays without being penalized.

Last but not least Penn State must shine on special teams. Their special teams must outplay Ohio States Special teams.

If these things happen, Penn State will win, if they don't happen they won't win. It's just that simple.

Go Jo Pa, Go Penn State!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Penn State Beats Northwestern

Penn State beat Northwesters football team Sat. but the first half was ugly.

Penn State and Joe Paterno managed a comeback in the second half when they took control of the ball game the way they should have in the first half.

It was not clean or crisp in the first half, but in the second half. They finally woke up on both sides of the ball.

Next week when they play Ohio State, Penn State better be awake from the first kick-off and their special teams play better be much improved also.

Ohio State is either blowing teams out or having bad games and losing. I think they will continue to roll. The Big ten I think is relatively week this year, Penn State should be un-defeated except for a blocked punt by Iowa.

I sadly predict that Penn State will blow it next week and Happy Valley won't be happy at all. Based on big game performances by Daryll Clark and the way Penn State begun against Northwestern I predict Ohio State will win 28-10. Penn State will turn the ball over, the play calling will be poor and Daryll Clark will make poor decisions.

I hope I'm wrong - Pleeeeeeaaaaaase prove me wrong boys. Go Penn State!!

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Penn State and NorthWestern

Penn State should take care of Northwestern today.

Even away, Joe Paterno and the Penn States Lions are a more powerful team.

The key to todays game will be fundamentals and that's all. Don't turn the ball over, block, tackle and no stupid penalties.

Daryll Clark needs to play smart. And if these happen, they will win the game.

Go Pann State!!!

Monday, October 26, 2009

Tom Brady And New England Take Care Of Tampa Bay

Despite Tom Brady throwing a couple of interceptions, the New England patriots took care of business against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.

They Made it look pretty easy. With Brady back in form many games should be easy.

My two concerns at this point is the offensive line and there defense. I don't think there defense can stand up to a team like the Colts at this point. And I don't think their offensive line can stand up to a defense like the Giants pass rush.

But thank goodness these things remain to be seen. And this was a great win - good job guys.

Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paterno, Penn State Break The Losing Streak At the Big House

Joe Paterno has not won at Michigan since 1996!! That's right. But today that losing streak was broken with an impressive victory over the Wolverines.

Daryll Clark played the game he needed to play. They did not turn the ball over, and the defense stepped up to the plate which are the 3 things I called to lead Penn State to a victory.

I'm really proud of them. Hope they can keep the momentum going. It was a truly great win for the Penn State Lions.

You Go Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, October 23, 2009

Joe Paterno, Penn State Have Work Cut Out

Joe Paterno has to have the team super ready for Michigan on Saturday for one reason. They did not win there since 1996 - that's 13 years!!! They should win this game with the talent they have, but this losing streak at Michigan - Penn State must brake!!!

Penn State is the better team in some ways. But not in every way. Like every week it will come down to three things - how will Daryll Clark perform? - How will the defense do? And they can't turn the ball over against Michigan at Michigan.

The most important thing in this game will be turnovers and penalties. But Penn States defense better show up!!

Go Penn State!!!

Tom Brady, New England Gear up For the Buccaneers

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots need to play like they did last week against the Titans in order to beat the Buccaneers.

Buccaneers are struggling but do have potential and every team will play New England hard.

But if Brady is sharp and the Defense holds together - this game they should win and I predict they will - by 14 points or more.

Hope I'm right I do!! You go boys!!!

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Brady, Patriots Dominate

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Dominated a win less Tennessee Titan team. It was the first time this year Brady looked completely back in form. It was the first time this year the Patriots looked like the Patriots.

They play sharp football like we are used to seeing them play. I was very surprised they played that well..............and very relieved.

It was especially great to see Tom Brady look comfortable once again. The Patriots defense looked very sharp as well. Hopefully they can continue with the same kind of momentum. They will have to in order to be successful because every team plays them hard.

Penn State Wins

Penn State beat the Gophers yesterday as they should have in what looked to be an easy win for Joe Paterno and the Lions.

But now we will see what the Lions and Paterno and Clark are really made of next Saturday when they face Michigan who always seems to give them a hard time. Penn State will NOT be over matched like they were against Minnesota.

Because of the strength of their opponent there will be more than Daryll Clark that will have to click in this game. He will have to play almost perfect. But even if he does and Penn States defense don't come up big - they could go down hard.

So the three factors that are key in order for Penn State to win are 1. Daryll Clark managing the game, making some big plays either with his legs and/or arm. 2. Can Penn State's defense stop Michigan? They have to come up big in order to win. 3. Offensive play calling has to be very creative against this Michigan coach. Penn State can't just ram it down their throat and come up with a win.

So let's see what happens - Go Penn State!!!

Junior Seau To Come Back?

Junior Seau wants to play for the Patriots again and that's a shame. He's an old man for the NFL at this time. At one time he was the best at his position. But now he is unable to help the New England Patriots.

Tedi Bruschi understands the game and his body obviously Junior does not. This move will not benefit the New England Patriots.

Patriots VS The Titans

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots need to be ready for Titans who are win less so far.

But that's what makes them so dangerous in this game I think. They are a well coached team. Tom Brady has to play much better than last week and the Patriots defense cannot self-destruct or they could have big problems.

Let's go Pat's. Better not let this one slip away.

Big Day For Penn State

We will see again what Penn State is made of today as they face off with the Minnesota Gophers.

The Gophers lost to California and Wisconsin, the only two games that maybe they should have lost.

Once again a big day it is for Daryll Clark to prove himself as a true leader or a not so true leader. He is the captain who must win the game for Penn State if they are going to be successful. It's really on his shoulders in my humble opinion. If he has a good game then Joe Paterno and Penn State will win and if he throws interceptions and makes dumb decisions then they could lose.

But a game indeed they should win as far as match ups. Penn State has more talent than the Gophers.

Go get em boys.

Go Penn State!!!

What's Next For The Patriots?

Are the New England Patriots going to get mad now and dominate things? Or is it that they just don't have it this year?

Hopefully they will just be so mad and disgusted that they will win out the rest of their games. But maybe they just are not capable right now. There great offensive coordinator is in Denver, and Tom Brady does not look sharp at all right now.

I hope New England will really tighten things up now that they realize how quickly they could have a losing season if they don't play much better. The New England Patriots are classy, but are they a great team this year? I don't think we know that yet.

One thing is for sure if they play the Giants a wall they will run into. Of course the Colts are doing alright also. But the Giants scare me, I mean that is a dominate team right now. But then again I was not sure the Patriots would be able to beat the Ravens and they did.

And that's why we root for teams right?

Tom Brady And The Patriots Fall in OT

My prediction was correct to my disappointment. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots lose to the Denver Broncos in OT.

Tom Brady was not sharp at all the entire game, missing several open receivers including a wide open Randy Moss that would have been an easy touchdown. And in the fourth quarter Brady missed Wes Welker in stride for what would have looked to be a sure touchdown with a well thrown ball.

But the loss was complete team effort because the New England Defense self-destructed with some uncharacteristic penalties at critical times.

This was not the Patriot team we are used to seeing - a poor performing Tom Brady and dumb penalties form both sides of the ball.

Now about the Patriots defense: I think besides their stupid penalties they actually played very good. I think the Broncos have an offense that will give every defense trouble this year (except maybe the Giants if they play them). The Broncos offense is really much better than I expected really in my opinion being more than the Patriots defense can handle.

So back to Tom Brady - he played a poor game and the result was a loss. Enough said.

The season is far from over thank goodness.

Tom Brady and The Patriots

I want to be wrong about them losing tomorrow and hopefully I will be despite them losing Fred Tailor to ankle surgery.

Tom Brady and Bill Bilechik can prove anyone wrong. So I'm on board. Even though I do like the Broncos, I love the Patriots.

They can do it p- I believe!! Go prove me wrong boys.

Penn State Lions

The Penn State Lions and Joe Paterno are in complete control of Eastern Illinois in the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Penn State leads 38-0.

This score is to be expected by Penn State against a much weaker team. Daryll Clark is also playing more like we expect him to throwing 3 touchdown passes in the first half.

Beginning next week when Penn State Plays Minnesota the season will stay difficult and even get harder the following week at Michigan.

Joe Paterno has his work cut out for him. But they play the game for a reason. Paterno has a way of getting his team ready for the biggest games. So I wait with anticipation to see how the season unfolds.

Key Factor Josh McDaniels

If Josh Mc Daniels is calling the plays on Sunday for the Broncos I don't think the New England Patriots defense will do enough to win the game.

I predict they will lose this Sunday to my great disappointment.

Can The Patriots Do It Again?

Can the Patriots pull off another win against another undefeated team?

Complicating thing a bit is the fact that they will play against their former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels who is not the Denver Broncos head coach.

He is a fantastic coach and is leading the Broncos well - needless to say. But Bill Bilechek knows him and taught him. So the Patriots have a good fighting chance to win this weeks game.

Tom Brady has to have a good game and continue his threads to Randy Moss and Wes Welker. And the New England Patriots Defense has to come up big just like they did last week against the Ravens. And most importantly, since I think this game is going to be played in Denver. They can't turn the ball over one time and they have a shot at this one.

It will be an exciting game to watch all the way around. But will the Patriots win? No one will know until they take the field on Sunday. And I can't wait.

Brady - Patriots Pull it Out!!

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots looked sharper than I expected and knocked off the undefeated Baltimore Ravens. As good as the Ravens were playing, I'm surprised they were able to pull it off to be honest. But I said they had to bring their "A" game to have a chance and that's exactly what they did. It was not perfect, but they were very sharp, played hard, and in the end made less mistakes than the Ravens.

Randy Moss scored his first touchdown reception of the season. Wes Welker caught several key balls and showed his usual productivity despite reports of his injury. I think Tom Brady completed passes to over 10 different players which is awesome.

The Patriots defense stepped up to the plate and stopped the Ravens short on two different 4th down plays. Then Mark Clayton dropped a ball that could have been important late in the 4th quarter to sort of seal the deal the New England.

A well fought game by two good teams back and forth it went. And in the end, the Ravens just make a few less plays than the New England Patriots.

Sometimes I Loooooooooove to be wrong!!!!

Great job guys, hopefully this will be a confidence booster.

How Will Tom Brady And The Patriots Fair?

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots better be ready like I discussed in my last post. The Ravens are not only undefeated, but they scored at least 30 points in their first three games.

Despite the awesome coaching and Tom Brady this game could actually be very ugly!!

Vince Wilfork there best defensive tackle and Wes Welker Tom Brady's go to guy underneath to set up the long ball are both at only 80% at best. So things are looking worse and worse to me. Unless someone steps up big, they could get beat bad.

Go get em Pats, but you better play your best game in a long time.

Penn State Wins!

Penn State beats Illinois yesterday and look impressive against an un-ranked team.

Daryll Clark even looked good coming off a terrible performance last week against Iowa. The running backs for Penn State were awesome. But then again, they were playing Illinois.

I'm still broken hearted about the loss last week. But Iowa is a really really good team there is no doubt about it!!

But hopefully this will get Penn State back on the right track because they still have to play Ohio State who have been hammering their opponents since their loss to USC and also Michigan who is playing much better than expected despite a first year coach.

So get ready Lions

Tom Brady and The Patriots Have their Hands Full Sunday

Tom Brady and The Patriots play the undefeated Ravens on Sunday at 1pm. At this point I don't think they are at all ready for a team playing as well as the Ravens.

As I say I love the New England Patriots, but think they will lose this Sunday and actually think they could lose pretty bad!

Hope I'm wrong I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And with a determined Tom Brady and Bill B. anything is possible! They really could get outplayed on both sides of the ball on Sunday. If there was ever a time for their defense to mature and take charge of a game - Brady needs them to do it on Sunday.

If they don't the Patriots could be in some big trouble. Good luck fellows. You will need it.

Can Penn State Salvage The Season?

The loss against Iowa was just ugly. Will Penn State and Joe Paterno Rebound or not?

Easier said than done in my humble opinion with what I now think is a sub par quarterback in Clark at best and Ohio State beginning to crush everyone they face. The season could turn really ugly and really fast.

And if you think Illinois will be much easier away from happy valley - think again!!

Good Luck Boys!!

Patriots Win!!

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Put a beating on a descent Falcon Team.

Tom Brady looked a little less shaky to me. I was not impressed still with their defense.

But A win is a win. They could still pull everything together and continue to keep winning. Tom Brady is still the best quarterback their is when he is able to settle in.

It's early in the season, but the team that really concerns me is the New York Giants. Because the way their playing, no one will beat them. In a playoff game, the Patriots are not near ready for the Giants. Not yet at least.

Boo To Penn State!

Penn State broke my heart last night. They were pathetic in my humble opinion. And especially Daryll Clark I thought this year he would be able to lead a team, but it's very clear I'm wrong and sad to say so.

I thought he was absolutely terrible! I mean he has no instincts because he was under some pressure, but that's when even some average quarterbacks with his athletic ability will scramble for first downs and or to by some time to make a play which he did neither.

The defense which I was worried about all along actually played good and the points they did give up I thought was because of the mistakes Daryll Clark made to put them in impossible situations.

I'll get over it - it's a game, but they broke my heart. They were out smarted, out determined, and just plain old blew it!!! Like I said in my previous post, they can not turn the ball over..................Well. You see the result.

Penn State VS Iowa

Penn State needs to open up their offense and just like the Patriots must be ready for the Falcons, The Nittany Lions better be ready for Iowa or they WILL get surprised just like they did last year in front of their home crowd.

Penn State biggest test this year is Sat. night. against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

If they make a lot of mistakes, they could actually get beat bad!! which I would hat to see.

Penn State needs to open up their offense and figure out how to score on an excellent defensive Iowa team.

Turn overs will decide this game, if Daryll Clark can't throw interceptions in this game or it could mean a loss.

GO PENN STATE!!

The Patriots and Tom Brady Better be Ready For the Falcons

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots better ready for the Falcons, because they won't be a push over.

I expect a much more crisp performance from the Patriots this weak and if they don't bring their best - they will lose this game.

The questions for me at this time is what is their best? We really are not sure yet. But they need to eliminate penalties, play better defense, Tom Brady needs more time in the pocket and he must deliver. The return of Welker should make a huge difference. And I expect a big performance out of Randy Moss.

I expect a lot, but after all, these are the Patriots.

Good luck fellows.

Brand New Free Game to play - this one is pretty cool if you play games. And best of all, it's free!

http://bz9.cc/06lC

There are actually two at this link.

New England Patriots and Tom Brady Get Roughed Up

In my last post I thought it would be much better if Tom Brady and the New England Patriots would play the Jets instead of the Giants.

At least it looks like I was wrong. Are the Jets that good? Hard to say this early in the season because the Jets played inspired ball against their hated rivals.

Here are my observations: The defense did not come up BIG when they absolutely had to - one thing they used to do.
The offense was completely unprepared, disorganized and penalized. I don't know what happened to Randy moss. Tom Brady was under pressure all day and only put together one good drive.
Unusual for them to NOT get into the end zone when in the red zone.

By the score they were not embarrassed, but all along I have been concerned about the Patriots defense and they have so many changes on it that I'm not sure they will come together in time this season. And despite the game not being a blow out - the New England Patriots and Tom Brady really looked bad!!

So what does this mean for the season? One of two things:

1. They will get mad because of their poor performance AND because they realize that teams are really coming at them, find a way to come together and go deep into the playoffs - (but not win it all this year)
2. Or they will have a very rough season and not even make the playoffs and perhaps not even a winning record.

Sound crazy I do, but last week in New England, they did NOT beat the Bills, the Bills beat themselves after fumbling the ball away at the end of the game.

I love ya Patriots, but this might be long season.

Penn State In Control At Half

The Penn State Lions are In control of Temple at half time. And should pull it off with out difficulty.

But they don't look sharp to me, and they better get sharp quickly because their schedule is only going to get harder beginning next week with Syracuse. Derrick Clark is not impressing me thus far this season and I had and still have great expectations out of him.

For Penn State to have a chance to win against Ohio State or Michigan or maybe even Wisconsen. He will have to be almost perfect.

Patriots Sqeeze By The Bills

The New England Patriots squeezed by the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. I new it would be close, and like I said in my last post - if the game is close, the Patriots know how to win the game. But this game was NOT close in the last 5 minutes and they STILL found a way to win - by the skin of their teeth!!!

Not an impressive win at home to say the least!!! In my last post I wrote they would be in Buffalo - it's good they were I was WRONG or the out come could have actually been ugly for New England.

But I'm just glad they won. Tom Brady is still not really comfortable in the pocket under pressure. They dropped passes - very unlikely, and their defense proved nothing to me Monday night.

Now they travel to New York, and it's good for them they play the Jets and not the Giants. I love them, but I'm just not impressed so far.

Will The Patriots Win Tonight????

Will the New England Patriots Beat the Bills Tonight? Don't be to surprised if they DON'T.

Tom Brady is awesome, but he is not fully back to his original comfort level he was prior to his injury. Further more, it's uncertain just how the new aligned Patriots defense will perform.......especially without Richard Seymour.

And one more thing to remember - they are IN Buffalo.

Hope with my heart they win - I do! But if New England loses, surprised I will not be completely.

The upside of every Patriots game is this: rest assured the Patriots know how to win if the game is even close. Because winning is what they do.

Losing Donovan Mcnab bad????

I hate to say this, but it might be better for the Philadelphia Eagles to NOT have Donovan Mcnab playing for them.

If Michael vick is patient and is willing to throw inderneath, be patient like Tom Brady is then the Eagles could do some majoy damage.

But we shall see.....................Right?

Awesome Opening NFL Game

What a game last night. The Steelers squeezed one out. Kerry Collins and Big Ben - both teams very classy organizations.

They both will have good seasons if kerry Collins can stay healthy.

Patriots trade DL Richard Seymour to Raiders

Five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Richard Seymour(notes) has been traded from the New England Patriots to the Oakland Raiders, giving the rebuilding franchise a veteran stalwart up front.

Seymour is in the final year of a contract paying him $3.7 million this season. In return, the Patriots received a first-round draft choice in 2011.

“From nearly the day he arrived in 2001, Richard Seymour established himself as one of our premier players for nearly a decade,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Sunday. “His presence has been felt as a force on the field, a respected man off it and a multiyear champion.”

The 29-year-old Seymour was drafted by the Patriots sixth overall in 2011, and started 105 of 111 games over eight seasons. He made 460 tackles and 39 sacks, and in 2002 was selected to the first of five consecutive Pro Bowls

His trade to the Raiders was first reported by ESPN.

The move is only the latest as the Patriots continue to get younger on defense. Linebacker Mike Vrabel(notes) was traded to Kansas City in the offseason, safety Rodney Harrison(notes)Tedy Bruschi(notes) officially called it a career after 13 seasons. announced his retirement, and more recently

“Any transaction we make is with the goal of what is best for our team and, as difficult as it is to part ways with a player of Richard’s stature, many factors were taken into account when we considered this trade,” Belichick said.

“As an organization, we feel the trade with Oakland brings sufficient value and is in the long-term interest of the club,” he added. “We are extremely grateful for the huge impact Richard’s elite level of performance had on our success and we wish him the very best during the rest of his career.”

The Patriots, who went 3-1 in the preseason, begin the regular season Sept. 14 against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium.

The addition of rookies Myron Pryor(notes) and Ron Brace(notes) to a defensive line that also includes veterans Vince Wilfork(notes), Ty Warren(notes), Jarvis Green(notes) and Mike Wright(notes) made Seymour expendable.

“It’s the nature of the business,” said veteran running back Kevin Faulk(notes), the longest-serving player on the team after Bruschi’s departure. “They have an agenda upstairs, and the coaches decide who comes and goes. You can’t do nothing about it.”

Faulk said the team will miss the way Seymour carried himself as a person and a player.

“He was a quiet leader,” second-year linebacker Jerod Mayo(notes) said. “He led by his actions. He’ll be dearly missed as a teammate and as a player on the field. But we have players that are ready to step up.”

When asked if the Pats might be better without Seymour, Mayo said: “Ask me after Game 1.”

Wow - This I did not expect, and it worries me for the defense as a hole this year for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. How will they do now? 29 years old is not old. I just hope they know what they are doing for this season.

A Good Show For Penn States First Game

I hoped and of course expected Penn State Football to beat Akron on Sat. and they not only beat them, but they completely dominated the first half.

It was exciting to see. They did not seem as explosive as far as speed as I expected, but non the less they got the job done.

Joe Paterno will have them ready for
Syracuse next week. But that game can can be a bit more tricky. Though I fully expect the final outcome to be a second win for the Nittany Lions. They cant blow the easy ones, these games must be stepping stones for the Ohio, Michigan States and the like. Good job guys. Keep working hard because the schedule won't get easier.

Penn State Needs To Start Big

Penn State can't look bad at all today against Akron. They must and indeed should dominate this game.

As I have stated all along my concern is their defense. How will they come up? The offense will find a way to score. But the defense must find a way to dominate early in every big game, and especially in the big ones.

Joe Paterno will have them ready. It's man power that's my concern on defense.

Go Penn State!!

Tedy Bruschi Will Retire From The New England Patriots

Al Michaels just announced on NBC's Sunday Night Football telecast that New England Patriots LB Tedy Bruschi will announce his retirement tomorrow.

New NBC analyst Rodney Harrison, a former Patriots safety who also retired this off season, had this to say about Bruschi on the telecast: "A terrific football player, a great friend of mine, one of the hardest-working guys that I've ever been around, a tremendous leader in that locker room, a guy that was an integral part of that 2003-2004 Super Bowl run that we had."

These are all true things about this intense leader on the football field. A true player to admire - a play maker.

However, in my humble opinion the New England Patriots will be better off with out him from this point forward. And the only reason I believe that is his age and thus lack of strength, and speed. Even the most intelligent player in the world can only play for so long.

As for character and class - no player shows more. Always have my respect because of his character and class - he will.

Lets hope more leaders like him rise up to improve this season for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

But missed in the locker room he will be!!
