Penn State Fires Head Coach Joe Paterno

Head Coach Joe Paterno was fired this evening by the school bored of trustees after the sex scandal beginning in 2002 gets even bigger. Penn State acted over rising concern over how the school officials handled the situation of an assistant coach. 

Paterno was going to finish out the rest of the season and then resign but won't have the chance.  

This is tragic for everyone involved and very sad.  Sad for victims of abuse and their families, sad for fans, sad for Penn State and sad for a legendary coach Joe Paterno.  

Penn State also Fired the school President Graham Spanier.  It's a sad day now, but it really began in 2002!!

Penn State Falls to Alabama - Season Hopes Dim

For the last couple of years I have watched national contenders like Alabama and others take down Penn State and how disappointing it has been!!

Will it end?  Will Penn State be Strong National Contenders again in the near future?  It don't look that way right now.  But I do hope I'm wrong!!

Thrilled About the Lightning Tying the Series with the Bruins

Tampa Bay Lightning have a real chance once again to play for the cup.  Both teams are working very very hard and the series has been incredibly exciting thus far.  

I mentioned consistency in my first post about this series but I was wrong.  Actually there has been adjustments the lightning made and with out them the series would not be tied but maybe over.  

Boston is a very physical, tough team which needs a response and the lightning stepped up to the plate the last game. 

I hope they can sustain the blast from Boston tonight because it will be tough.  But no one know which way the puck will fly. 

Can the Lightning beat the Bruins?

I think they can but they must have big performances by all their best players and they have to remain consistent.  Yes it sounds like a cliche, but it's true.  

If they are not consistent they will not win the series.  Also the need to be concerned about the long lay off - so this first game will be an important event.  

So I'm extremely excited about this series and really believe they can beat the Bruins to play for the Lord Stanley's Cup. 

Really Routing for Tampa Bay Lightening at this time!!

Go Tampa.  Red Wings I am sad for - playing tough they are.  Can Tampa get by the Bruins.  Because they are hot I think they can!!
