You Go Penn State!!

It looks like Penn State and Joe Paterno will hold off Michigan thanks to one of the best running backs in the country (Royster) and their back up quarterback Matt McGloin who I thought played an awesome game against what is somewhat of a mediocre Michigan pass defense.

None the less, Penn States offense who struggled all year seemed to have a spark in it tonight which was not there in the first half of the season.

So I'm very excited for the Lions Offense, Joe Paterno and Matt McGloin the back up quarterback as well as Royster who played a heck of a game.

As for Penn States Defense - well they did what they had to do, but I was very disappointed all in all.  They certainly did not "shut things down" as I like to put it, but a win is a win barring a miracle and I'm happy about that because the schedule still won't get any easier.  Next week they play Northwestern followed by Ohio State!!

Penn State and Joe Paterno Plays Michigan

So who's it going to be?  Joe Paterno and Penn State?  or the Michigan?  I'm not sure Penn State is ready for Michigan yet who are 5-2.  But in all honesty their schedule has been quite easy until the last two games to Michigan State and Iowa and they lost both of them.  But they were close.

I'm worried about both sides of the ball for Joe Paterno and Penn State.  The young quarterback is still young for Penn State and I've questioned some of the play calling this year.

As far as Penn States Defense - I have much more confidence in them than I do the offense at this time.  But they have much pressure on them in order for them to win this game tomorrow night.

Game time is at 8PM EST.  Feel free to chat on my blog with each other while you are watching the game.  I may not get it in my area I will have to check.

Go Penn State Lions and go Joe Paterno!!!

Tom Brady and The New England Win and Now Face Randy Moss, Vikings

This should be an interesting game.  One I don't think the Patriots will win if the Vikings throw the ball to Randy Moss and keep things simple.  Simplicity is all the Vikings might need with a talent like Moss unless he is double covered all day and I mean every play.

As for the Patriots Defense, recently they have risen to the occasion but can they do it again?  Yes.  But will they?  No.

I sadly pick the Vikings in this one barring they don't turn the ball over because the Patriots and Tom Brady are masters at capitalizing on other teams mistakes.

I hope I'm wrong.  But can't wait to see how it will turn out.  And I can't wait to see how Randy Moss will do.  It should be a really fun game to watch. The game is Sunday at 4:15 in New England.

Tom Brady and The New England Might Lose But Hopefully the Jets Will Too

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots might not be able to beat the Raven tomorrow despite an extra week of preparation.  The Raven defense is to strong and their offense is too talented for Brady and the Pats.

The only good news is Tom Brady and the Patriots know how to win close ones and the Ravens seem to be in a lot of close games.  And the other good news is that the Jets stand a chance to lose also playing the Denver Broncos because their head coach is awesome.  I would be pleased if the Jets lose even though it's not a division game.  But if neither of the above happen Tom Brady and the Patriots could be in a world of hurt for the rest of the season both morally and literally.

Another team I'm routing for is the Philadelphia Eagles who play the Falcons.  It will be a tough game for the Eagles who's defense has fallen apart lately.  But they only lost their two games by a total of 12 points.  That's not bad.  If Andy Reid only had a good quarterback who was steady.

And the Eagles are in one of if not the toughest division there is.  But we will know the outcome of these things later today.

Remainder of Season Looking Dim for Joe Paterno and Penn State

Joe Paterno and Penn State get a much needed bye this week before they play the Minnesota Gophers on Oct.  23.

The Gophers record overall is 1-5 - just a little better than the Lions.  It's going to be the easiest game Penn State has the rest of the year before things get really really tough for them.

They might no win another game this year after Minnesota - if they beat them.  And if they don't, it will be one of the worst seasons Joe Paterno ever had as Penn States head coach.

After Minnesota Penn State plays North Western who are 5-1, Illinois who are 3-2 and no slouch, Ohio State and Michigan State who both are undefeated and might stay that way because they don't play each other in the conference this year.

It's heart breaking but just the way things are.  Penn State don't have this awesome defense they once had and if they did I think they actually could move the ball with out too much problem.

But things don't look good in the immediate future and I hope I'm wrong.  Capable of pulling an upset they are indeed.  But the Penn State Lions need to be "the Lions"

Jets Win Again Placing More pressure on Tom Brady and The Pats

The New York Jets win again placing more pressure on the New England Patriots and Tom Brady to win this coming week.

The Jets are good and I'll be honest - they really concern me even though it's early in the season.  But right now is not the play offs I realize this.  However, I really don't want to see Tom Brady and the Patriots meeting the Jets during the play offs.

I don't think the Patriots will win.  Tom Brady had a tough time with the Jets the first time they played when it was all said and done and they may not change a whole lot - especially with Randy Moss out of the picture.

As I always say, time will tell.  But So far I'm disappointed with the looks of things for the Patriots and Brady.

But I will hope on!!

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots Have a Bye This Sunday

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots Have a Bye This Sunday but then they play the Baltimore Ravens who are always tough.

Beat them I think Tom Brady and the Patriots will - sure about this I am not.  Hopefully the bye week will help the Patriots and not hurt them.

The Ravens don't score many points, but they don't have to because their defense is still so dominant.  Can Tom Brady and the Patriots continue to score lots of points against this powerful defense?

And will the Patriots defense rise to the occasion?  Time will tell.

Until then I hope so bad that the Jets lose.  And it's possible, after all the Ravens beat them.

Penn State - Ugh What is Happening to You?

Penn State is just totally falling apart.  No offense, no defense.

I don't understand what is happening.  They are getting worse.  Remember those defenses Penn State Had.  The ones that shut everyone down?  Where they now?  Now they don't shut Anybody down.  It's so hard to watch them get run over by sub par teams (and good teams).

I will keep routing for our Penn State but my goodness.  This could be a losing season.  I mean the toughest part of their schedule is still to come.  This could be really ugly by the end of the season for Penn State and Joe Paterno.

I know starting the season IN Alabama did not help things along, but they are the number one team in the country at this time.

You go boys.  And Joe Paterno - Penn State footbali needs your wisdom legend.

Penn State is Slumping Indeed - Illinois is Next!!

I can't believe Penn State and Joe Paterno lost as bad to Iowa as they did Alabama.  It's a disgrace.  Iowa is good, but is Penn State that bad?

Well they play Illinois tomorrow so if they don't have their act together they won't win that either.  Illinois is no roll over any more.

OK Lions, you have to do some damage if you want any respect this season.  Oh, and now I'm routing for SC against Alabama so Ohio State might #1 - but can they stay there?

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots Control Dolphins, Trade Moss - What's Next?

I'm so glad to see a win by Tom Brady and the Patriots because it seems that the Jets have their number this year.

I think the Jets are that good and I also don't think that the Patriots will beat them this year after seeing the two play the first time.  But only time will tell.

In the meantime.  One of the best receivers in the game has been traded to the Vikings.  This won't help Tom Brady and the Patriots a lick in my opinion.

I'm afraid if the Patriots make it into the playoffs this year that they won't go very far.  And one of the biggest problems is their defense - my largest concern for the past couple of years continues.

But with Randy Moss gone I'm not sure what they really have any more.  It's a shame because Tom Brady is still the best quarterback in the game in my opinion, but he won't be forever.  And it seems like it's taking the Patriots "forever" to get their act together for him and for me - LOL - (the fans).

So no one knows whats next - except time.

Brady, Moss arrive at the Patriots voluntary organized team activities

Tom Brady wants to get used to throwing to some of his newly acquired targets for the Patriots including veterans Torry Hold and Alge Crumpler.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will score this year, but my question is in regard to their defense once again.

Do they have enough man power to get the job done for Brady and the Pats?

New England Patriots Defense Still In question

Defensive lineman Ron Brace is hoping to have a much more productive year than his first one in the NFL. His rookie season last year only yielded 9 tackles all season.

The Boston College star said it was much more difficult to transition to the NFL than he first thought it would be and had a tough time adjusting especially mentally.

He has been receiving tips from veteran Vince Wilfork who is helping Ron along.

I think he could have a great season, but they still need a stronger secondary and at least one dominant pass rusher.

Time will tell how they do.

Tom Brady Patriots Defense

Will the New England Patriots Defense Hold up this year?

Give me some feedback?

And will Phil. Flyers win the Cup?

No Mcnabb - Better for the Eagles

By the way, since I like the Eagles (since I'm originally from PA). But not near as much as the Patriots and Tom Brady.

But I'm so glad Philly got rid of Mcnabb. Now maybe they can win a Superbowl.

A couple of years ago when the Eagles Played the Patriots in the Superbowl. I think they controlled that game. Andy Reid had the Eagles ready. And with a good QB the Eagles would have won.

Patriots Focusing on Offense

It appears the Patriots are focusing their efforts more on offense than on defense at this time.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense should do ok - sure every new weapon helps, but I think their biggest weakness is their defense. I think they need some fresh new and nasty lineman and one or two dominate linebackers and in the secondary I think they are too small.

It's only my humble opinion, but If I'm Tom Brady and the Patriots offense, I'm tired of looking up at the score board and seeing 30-35 points that the OTHER team scored.

I mean especially with the master mind of Bilichick. They just have to have the personnel on defense to shut teams down. And if they do that quickly - you won't be able to stop Tom Brady and the Patriots from scoring.

Just my humble opinion.

Bill Belichick Takes Tim Tebow Out For Dinner

Yes it's true, Bill Belichick did take former Fl. quarterback Tim Tebow out for dinner in Boston.

So what does it mean for Tim Tebow? Who knows? With a coach like Bill Belichick Tebow could be their next linebacker - (just kidding). But truthfully there is no better person than Bill Belichick to place a good football player in the position where he will excel.

Tebow is a good football player so many, including myself would loved to be at the meeting. But only time will tell because it always does. One thing I know. Tim Tebow is a classy guy who is very intelligent. And the New England Patriots are a classy team from the owner on down to a transformed Randy Moss. So in that one regard, Tebow would fit right in.

Perfect on the Patriots or any team for that matter no one is - sorry but not even the great Tom Brady. But classy the Patriots are, and in that form Tebow would be more than a better fit. No doubt there is that Bilichick is very aware of this fact.

But in the meantime, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have to worry about the Jets and Dolphins who are now forces that will challenge New England every game and every play.

Tom Brady Reports To Voluntary Training Camp

The New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady arrived at the voluntary training camp on Tuesday. Randy Moss also arrived in Foxborough, Mass.

Reports say that Brady looked to be in great shape.

The Patriots signed Alge Crumpler officially a 32 year old tight end who add some to Tom Brady's arsenal.

Cant wait to see what happens.

Saints - Super Bowl Champs!!!

If the Saints play like they did against the Arizona Cardinals I don't think the Colts have a chance.

What do you think? Because their defense is coming. Now they did not bring the same game against the Vikings and the Vikings gave the game to them with turnovers.

But now with 2 weeks rest, they can bring it!!!!!!!!!!!

Colts VS Saints

I would love to see the Saints win the Superbowl against the Colts, especially since they (the Saints) never even got their before. I love Drew Breeze, I don't care for the Saints coach, but I would love to see them win and I think they can.

And I know this post is long awaiting, but the Viking really really blew the game against the Saints. Just because of the turnovers. I wanted to blame Brett Favre, but it was not all his fault, the loss was a team effort for the offense.

But the Vikings Defense controlled the game, so it's sort of sad.

NFL Playoffs - Anyones Taking This Year

Well we all know what is supposed to happen don't we? Well Let's see.......................

Arizona can't possibly topple the Saints in New Orleans can they....................can they?

And it would be impossible for the Jets to beat the Chargers right? And what about the Colts could they possibly lose to Baltimore? And we all know that Dallas can't beat the Powerful Vikings.

Well think again!! We can hope we can analyze, we can speculate and we could even bet, but that's something I would not dare do with this years match ups. Let's break it down some more.

Can you really count out Arizona with an experienced Kurt Warner steering the ship? Especially knowing how close they came last year to winning the Super Bowl.

Will the San Diego Chargers be able to beat a cocky coach with a Jets team that expects to win? Or will the Jets defense (one of the best in the league) shut the Chargers down?

Can the Peyton Manning and the Colts shake off the dust - no really can they shake off the dust both physically and emotionally to beat a Baltimore Ravens team (who is not rusty) that just beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in New England and beat them bad!!

Finally, will the Minnesota Vikings who incidentally are NOT coming into the playoffs with momentum be able to rise up and beat the Dallas Cowboys? I'm not so sure. I love Brett Favre, I always have. But lately it seems like in big games he has a tendency to force things in the playoffs. And thus do his team more harm than good.

Oh and by the way - this is a very healthy Dallas team who does NOT expect to lose.

It really is for any team to take. I think almost all of these games are too close to call.

My pick to win the Super Bowl still stands to be the San Diego Chargers. So naturally I expect them to beat the Jets - at least I hope they will.

The Saints SHOULD win against Arizona, but I dare not even pick a winner for this one. And don't be shocked at all if Arizona wins - Kurt Warner is a competitor and is tough!

I do have to pick the Colts over the Ravens. But Dallas and Minnesota is too close for me to call. If you want to go out on a limb, be my guest.

It's going to be an exciting weekend. But that's why they play - right? And that's what makes it exciting for us to watch.

NFL Playoffs Begin

I hope so bad that the Eagles win and that the Bengals win. I don't like the Jet's at all!!! And naturally if I love the Eagles well it's obvious how I feel about Dallas.

I think the Bengals will pull it out against the Jets, but I'm not so sure my Eagles will win.

Now above all games I hope Tom Brady and the Patriots win tomorrow against the Ravens. That is the most important game to me. But I really like the Bengals and Eagles.

My Superbowl pick remains unchanged however - Chargers!!

Eagles

Eagles are pathetic. they can never win a big game - gets me crazy.

When the going gets tough, the Eagles roll over it seems. But I will still root for them.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots VS Ravens

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots face off against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday at 1 PM Eastern time with out Wes Welker.

This will be a tremendous challenge after the devastating blow they took when Wes Welker suffered a season ending knee injury against the Patriots loss to the Texans.

The Patriots will have to come up with a great game plan offensively to beat the Ravens Sunday. Welker's absence could mean a loss for the Patriots because of the outlet he provided for Brady when under pressure. And Tom Brady will probably be under a lot of pressure on Sunday.

I'm proud to say that the Patriots can never be counted out with Tom Brady and a team that plays very intelligent like New England does. But the Hard hitting Ravens will be ready.

Don't look past this one fellows.

Penn State Up at Half

People are defending Daryll Clark who I love as a person, and he has thrown some good balls. But he has also thrown to many balls into LSU players chest - thankfully they dropped the ball.

Also, they blew it at the goal line bad. This game is way to close right now. LSU is relentless and Penn State despite good coaching will still lose close games.

Penns State UP!!!!!!!!!

Daryll Clark waking up, now needs people to catch the wet ball. Go Penn State!!

Good Stop by Penn State, 7-3 Penn State. LSU is relentless and disciplined team.

Daryll Clark

Daryll Clark looks pathetic so far and he could lose this game if keeps making dumb throws!!!!!!!!!!

Penn State - I'm Concerned Early

Penn State not looking good early.

With about 9 minutes left in the first half, Penn State and Joe Paterno are not dominating the Capital One Bowl.

Time to watch more!!!

Bowl Games

Today is the big day for the Big 10 conference.

Minnesota blew their game against Iowa State, but Penn State with Joe Paterno and Ohio State play today to catch the Big 10 up to speed.

Both games will be challenging for the Big 10, but both Ohio State and Penn State have chances to win.

I think Penn State has a better chance. Oregon is very explosive and so is Ohio State, but as mentioned in my last post, if the explosive Ohio State team don't show up then it could be ugly.

But I'm excited. I'm picking Penn State to win this on and Ohio State to lose their game - but hope desperately I'm wrong and Ohio State beats Oregon.

Then I would love to see Florida beat up the team they play bad. Time will tell.
