Penn State Offense Could Have To Carry Load

The Penn State Football offense could have to carry the load because the defense is more unpredictable this year.

The offense could be awesome depending on how the line protects Daryll Clark. And if they can stay healthy. Evan Royster could be one of the best running backs in the country if he stays healthy. But my concern is the defense.

Only 3 or 4 starters come back which is not enough. There are several guys with potential, but too many of them have to live up to expectations which they might not be able to do. The defense will be good, but not great unless every new starter lives up to every ones expectations. They will especially be vulnerable in the secondary and if they cannot generate an immediate pass rush. A team with a great passing game could score a lot of points on them.

I love the Nittany Lions and hope they go undefeated, but with their defense I just don't see it happening in 2009...................but boy would I love to be wrong!!!!

New England Patriots Super Bowl contender?

Could they be Super Bowl contenders? Well with Tom Brady as the captain nothing is impossible, but as for their defense - I don't think its quite up to par yet but I hope I'm wrong.

Here is some info on linebacker positions:

Position: Outside linebacker. For the past eight years, this was Mike Vrabel's spot in the Patriots' 3-4 defense. Working from the outside linebacker spot, Vrabel helped lead New England to four Super Bowl appearances by serving as an opportunistic pass rusher and an above-average LB in pass coverage. With him in Kansas City now, his spot is up for grabs in New England.

Front runner: Pierre Woods. With Tedy Bruschi and Jerod Mayo manning the middle and Adalius Thomas at the other outside linebacker spot, the right outside linebacker will be expected to keep his end of the deal in ensuring the Patriots maintain one of the best LB units in the league. Woods is a four-year veteran out of Michigan who saw some time and excelled when given the opportunity last year. He's also a special teams demon.

Contender: Tully Banta-Cain. Banta-Cain knows the system well, having played for the Patriots in a past life. After a forgettable tenure in San Francisco, he's back in Belichick-world and ready to compete for a starting role. He's a veteran presence.

Long shot: Shawn Crable. Crable's a second-year man out of Michigan who hasn't made any impact in the league yet. He'll likely back up Adalius Thomas at the left outside linebacker spot.

Tom Brady And New England Pat. VS Phil.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Are at Philadelphia in less than a month for the first preseason game.

This will be a tough test for both teams. Of course neither team will beat up their starters, the Eagles will still be ready. Because And Reid is one of the best coaches their are. But I can't wait to see the form of Tom Brady again - He will also be ready!!

I'm excited. The Schemes of Andy Reid are perfect - it's up to Mcnabb. If he plays well the Eagles will win 24-21, but if he stinks the place up, I choose the patriots 28-17.

Penn State Football

I love Penn State Football, in fact I love the Big 10, but especially Penn State. I hope soon they have one of those defenses that they used to have. You remember when they had a defense that just shut the entire game down? that was awesome.

I hope to see that again from them soon. I have to look at and post their schedule and maybe roster.

When Must The New England Patriots Make Cuts?

Can someone explain to me how and when the Patriots have to make their cuts. I cant wait to see what their defense will look like this year.

One Of Many Reasons To Love Tom Brady

In an exclusive interview a couple of years ago. A reporter asked Tom Brady a question to the affect of "why are you so motivated to work as hard as you do"? His reply I'll never forget:

"first of all, I want to win for the New England Patriots, and the second reason (this is the kicker for me to be a fan forever) is that if I don't work hard, I'm really not that good"

WOW....................I have never heard a pro athlete say that..............ever!!!!

Andy Reid

I really think Andy Reid, the Philadelphia Eagles coach is the the best in the business offensively. He is way under-rated. He has never had a Tom Brady. Donovan Mcnabb is a descent football player, but as we saw when they went head to head in the superbowl a couple of years back, he is no Tom Brady.

Tom Brady and the Patriots Tested Early?

Between the Eagles, Redskins and Giants. The Patriots should be tested even in the post season. But over all it looks like the New England Patriots and Tom Brady have a pretty easy schedule - not that there is such thing in the NFL. Here is the pre-season schedule:

But looking things over below I don't think think things look too bad. But once again, I am not familiar with all of the Patriots Defensive aquisitions. And there defense is going to be the deciding factor when it's all said and done. Not because they will be out coached, because they wont, but because they could just be out - manned. How will the Patriots Defense Be?

I'm concerned about the New England Patriots defense this year. Bill Bilecheck is awesome, but once again hes does have to have the manpower to work with.

I'm not so worried about the offense with Top Brady running the ship except for the offensive line who know exactly what their job is but still may be simply overpowered by a few teams.

I like some other teams, but few have as much class as the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. So I have to root for them.

Who Will Win The Super Bowl This Year?

Who's going to win the Superbowl This year? I would love to see the New England Patriots win again, but I don't think they will have the defense.

What do you think?

I'm not sure Arizona will be in the mix. The Eagles are always competitive because I think Andy Reid one of the best and under rated coaches in the league. But they have defense problems also.

I think we will see another surprise team this year like the Cardinals last year, but only this year they might just win it all.
