Patriots Win!!

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Put a beating on a descent Falcon Team.

Tom Brady looked a little less shaky to me. I was not impressed still with their defense.

But A win is a win. They could still pull everything together and continue to keep winning. Tom Brady is still the best quarterback their is when he is able to settle in.

It's early in the season, but the team that really concerns me is the New York Giants. Because the way their playing, no one will beat them. In a playoff game, the Patriots are not near ready for the Giants. Not yet at least.

Boo To Penn State!

Penn State broke my heart last night. They were pathetic in my humble opinion. And especially Daryll Clark I thought this year he would be able to lead a team, but it's very clear I'm wrong and sad to say so.

I thought he was absolutely terrible! I mean he has no instincts because he was under some pressure, but that's when even some average quarterbacks with his athletic ability will scramble for first downs and or to by some time to make a play which he did neither.

The defense which I was worried about all along actually played good and the points they did give up I thought was because of the mistakes Daryll Clark made to put them in impossible situations.

I'll get over it - it's a game, but they broke my heart. They were out smarted, out determined, and just plain old blew it!!! Like I said in my previous post, they can not turn the ball over..................Well. You see the result.

Penn State VS Iowa

Penn State needs to open up their offense and just like the Patriots must be ready for the Falcons, The Nittany Lions better be ready for Iowa or they WILL get surprised just like they did last year in front of their home crowd.

Penn State biggest test this year is Sat. night. against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

If they make a lot of mistakes, they could actually get beat bad!! which I would hat to see.

Penn State needs to open up their offense and figure out how to score on an excellent defensive Iowa team.

Turn overs will decide this game, if Daryll Clark can't throw interceptions in this game or it could mean a loss.

GO PENN STATE!!

The Patriots and Tom Brady Better be Ready For the Falcons

Tom Brady and The New England Patriots better ready for the Falcons, because they won't be a push over.

I expect a much more crisp performance from the Patriots this weak and if they don't bring their best - they will lose this game.

The questions for me at this time is what is their best? We really are not sure yet. But they need to eliminate penalties, play better defense, Tom Brady needs more time in the pocket and he must deliver. The return of Welker should make a huge difference. And I expect a big performance out of Randy Moss.

I expect a lot, but after all, these are the Patriots.

Good luck fellows.

Brand New Free Game to play - this one is pretty cool if you play games. And best of all, it's free!

There are actually two at this link.

New England Patriots and Tom Brady Get Roughed Up

In my last post I thought it would be much better if Tom Brady and the New England Patriots would play the Jets instead of the Giants.

At least it looks like I was wrong. Are the Jets that good? Hard to say this early in the season because the Jets played inspired ball against their hated rivals.

Here are my observations: The defense did not come up BIG when they absolutely had to - one thing they used to do.
The offense was completely unprepared, disorganized and penalized. I don't know what happened to Randy moss. Tom Brady was under pressure all day and only put together one good drive.
Unusual for them to NOT get into the end zone when in the red zone.

By the score they were not embarrassed, but all along I have been concerned about the Patriots defense and they have so many changes on it that I'm not sure they will come together in time this season. And despite the game not being a blow out - the New England Patriots and Tom Brady really looked bad!!

So what does this mean for the season? One of two things:

1. They will get mad because of their poor performance AND because they realize that teams are really coming at them, find a way to come together and go deep into the playoffs - (but not win it all this year)
2. Or they will have a very rough season and not even make the playoffs and perhaps not even a winning record.

Sound crazy I do, but last week in New England, they did NOT beat the Bills, the Bills beat themselves after fumbling the ball away at the end of the game.

I love ya Patriots, but this might be long season.

Penn State In Control At Half

The Penn State Lions are In control of Temple at half time. And should pull it off with out difficulty.

But they don't look sharp to me, and they better get sharp quickly because their schedule is only going to get harder beginning next week with Syracuse. Derrick Clark is not impressing me thus far this season and I had and still have great expectations out of him.

For Penn State to have a chance to win against Ohio State or Michigan or maybe even Wisconsen. He will have to be almost perfect.

Patriots Sqeeze By The Bills

The New England Patriots squeezed by the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. I new it would be close, and like I said in my last post - if the game is close, the Patriots know how to win the game. But this game was NOT close in the last 5 minutes and they STILL found a way to win - by the skin of their teeth!!!

Not an impressive win at home to say the least!!! In my last post I wrote they would be in Buffalo - it's good they were I was WRONG or the out come could have actually been ugly for New England.

But I'm just glad they won. Tom Brady is still not really comfortable in the pocket under pressure. They dropped passes - very unlikely, and their defense proved nothing to me Monday night.

Now they travel to New York, and it's good for them they play the Jets and not the Giants. I love them, but I'm just not impressed so far.

Will The Patriots Win Tonight????

Will the New England Patriots Beat the Bills Tonight? Don't be to surprised if they DON'T.

Tom Brady is awesome, but he is not fully back to his original comfort level he was prior to his injury. Further more, it's uncertain just how the new aligned Patriots defense will perform.......especially without Richard Seymour.

And one more thing to remember - they are IN Buffalo.

Hope with my heart they win - I do! But if New England loses, surprised I will not be completely.

The upside of every Patriots game is this: rest assured the Patriots know how to win if the game is even close. Because winning is what they do.

Losing Donovan Mcnab bad????

I hate to say this, but it might be better for the Philadelphia Eagles to NOT have Donovan Mcnab playing for them.

If Michael vick is patient and is willing to throw inderneath, be patient like Tom Brady is then the Eagles could do some majoy damage.

But we shall see.....................Right?

Awesome Opening NFL Game

What a game last night. The Steelers squeezed one out. Kerry Collins and Big Ben - both teams very classy organizations.

They both will have good seasons if kerry Collins can stay healthy.

Patriots trade DL Richard Seymour to Raiders

Five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Richard Seymour(notes) has been traded from the New England Patriots to the Oakland Raiders, giving the rebuilding franchise a veteran stalwart up front.

Seymour is in the final year of a contract paying him $3.7 million this season. In return, the Patriots received a first-round draft choice in 2011.

“From nearly the day he arrived in 2001, Richard Seymour established himself as one of our premier players for nearly a decade,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Sunday. “His presence has been felt as a force on the field, a respected man off it and a multiyear champion.”

The 29-year-old Seymour was drafted by the Patriots sixth overall in 2011, and started 105 of 111 games over eight seasons. He made 460 tackles and 39 sacks, and in 2002 was selected to the first of five consecutive Pro Bowls

His trade to the Raiders was first reported by ESPN.

The move is only the latest as the Patriots continue to get younger on defense. Linebacker Mike Vrabel(notes) was traded to Kansas City in the offseason, safety Rodney Harrison(notes)Tedy Bruschi(notes) officially called it a career after 13 seasons. announced his retirement, and more recently

“Any transaction we make is with the goal of what is best for our team and, as difficult as it is to part ways with a player of Richard’s stature, many factors were taken into account when we considered this trade,” Belichick said.

“As an organization, we feel the trade with Oakland brings sufficient value and is in the long-term interest of the club,” he added. “We are extremely grateful for the huge impact Richard’s elite level of performance had on our success and we wish him the very best during the rest of his career.”

The Patriots, who went 3-1 in the preseason, begin the regular season Sept. 14 against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium.

The addition of rookies Myron Pryor(notes) and Ron Brace(notes) to a defensive line that also includes veterans Vince Wilfork(notes), Ty Warren(notes), Jarvis Green(notes) and Mike Wright(notes) made Seymour expendable.

“It’s the nature of the business,” said veteran running back Kevin Faulk(notes), the longest-serving player on the team after Bruschi’s departure. “They have an agenda upstairs, and the coaches decide who comes and goes. You can’t do nothing about it.”

Faulk said the team will miss the way Seymour carried himself as a person and a player.

“He was a quiet leader,” second-year linebacker Jerod Mayo(notes) said. “He led by his actions. He’ll be dearly missed as a teammate and as a player on the field. But we have players that are ready to step up.”

When asked if the Pats might be better without Seymour, Mayo said: “Ask me after Game 1.”

Wow - This I did not expect, and it worries me for the defense as a hole this year for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. How will they do now? 29 years old is not old. I just hope they know what they are doing for this season.

A Good Show For Penn States First Game

I hoped and of course expected Penn State Football to beat Akron on Sat. and they not only beat them, but they completely dominated the first half.

It was exciting to see. They did not seem as explosive as far as speed as I expected, but non the less they got the job done.

Joe Paterno will have them ready for
Syracuse next week. But that game can can be a bit more tricky. Though I fully expect the final outcome to be a second win for the Nittany Lions. They cant blow the easy ones, these games must be stepping stones for the Ohio, Michigan States and the like. Good job guys. Keep working hard because the schedule won't get easier.

Penn State Needs To Start Big

Penn State can't look bad at all today against Akron. They must and indeed should dominate this game.

As I have stated all along my concern is their defense. How will they come up? The offense will find a way to score. But the defense must find a way to dominate early in every big game, and especially in the big ones.

Joe Paterno will have them ready. It's man power that's my concern on defense.

Go Penn State!!
